Universes Beyond: Final Fantasy Is Available to Trade

Friendly greetings, and welcome to a titan of the video game industry: Final Fantasy! The Cardsphere Team is please to announce Final Fantasy (FIN), Final Fantasy Commander (FIC), and Final Fantasy Through the Ages (FCA) products are available to trade. I'm John Sherwood, and I'll be your Starting Town quest giver for Magic's dive into an expansive roleplaying universe. I promise this isn't a fetch quest, unless you want it to be.
From Consoles to Cardboard
Final Fantasy first appeared on Nintendo in 1987, grew into a global multimedia franchise, and it now joins a growing list of iconic intellectual properties under the Universes Beyond U-m-B-rella. Hundreds of cards across three new set codes feature illustrations and lore from sixteen Final Fantasy games. The main set is legal in all major formats, introducing hundreds of new cards to both organized and casual play. In keeping with the status quo of Magic visual design, many of these cards received multiple editions, and we're providing this overview to help you sort your Wants and Haves. Magic's Final Fantasy contains FIVE different borderless treatments, so saddle up a chocobo, and we'll speed run through them all.
Oops. We would saddle a chocobo, if the saddle in the art for Ambrosia Whiteheart had made it into the textbox. Maybe this card was designed before Outlaws of Thunder Junction? Someone make it make sense.
Fowl's Gold
Sprinting near peak artificial scarcity, don't blink or you'll miss the serialized golden chocobo. Wizards of the Coast printed 77 Traveling Chocobo available only in English-language Collector Boosters. For some reason these things are textless, despite Traveling Chocobo's three abilities with a total word count of 53. That's five more words of rules text than Questing Beast!
If textless wall-of-text cards aren't your thing, there is a slightly less special black Traveling Chocobo, but this version is only printed in Japanese.
If Japanese-language cards aren't your thing, but you still want some degree of special-ness, then there are yellow, pink, blue and green neon ink Traveling Chocobos in multiple languages.
Final Fantasy Artist and Character Borderless
As a visual bonus, but not a bonus sheet, the set includes borderless treatments showcasing Final Fantasy artists and characters. Both of these treatments are available in non-foil and traditional foil. Ten cards feature illustrations by artists who worked on Final Fantasy games. These characters were chosen by the artists, who produced the images in their own style. This sort of artistic freedom is generally reserved for Secret Lair Drops, so it's a real treat to see this kind of collaboration in boosters.
Another borderless treatment is the Character Borderless, featuring legendary creatures from both the Commander product and set proper. These unframed portraits spotlight major Final Fantasy characters in front of the Roman numerals of their respective games.
Final Fantasy Through the Ages
Although we're still looking at borderless cards, Final Fantasy Through the Ages is an actual bonus sheet. Similar to Special Guests (SPG), this sheet reprints existing Magic cards, except the illustrations are all reproductions from Final Fantasy products.
Final Fantasy Commander
Four Commander preconstructed decks include 100 new cards and over 200 reprints with new art. Each deck represents a different Final Fantasy game, with playable characters as face commanders and memorable details shuffled into the 99.
Math is not just for blockers. Hero's Blade does in fact give Cloud, Ex-SOLDIER the power to make Treasures.
